(January 7, 2010 – New York) - Audemars Piguet, The Americas, the world’s oldest watch manufacturer still in the hands of its founding families, announces the appointment of Jasmine Bapic to the role of Vice President of Latin America effective February 1st. Ms. Bapic will assume the role following the promotion of Antonio Seward from Managing Director of Latin America to CEO of Audemars Piguet Spain.
According to President & CEO of Audemars Piguet, The Americas, Francois-Henry Bennahmias, “For quite some time I have recognized Jasmine’s considerable talent and contribution to the company. So when the time came to fill the position of VP of Latin America she was a natural choice. As we continue to expand the Latin American and Caribbean markets, Jasmine’s expertise will further Audemars Piguet’s brand share.”
In her position as Vice President of Latin America, Ms. Bapic will oversee the sales and marketing efforts of South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean and will report directly to Francois-Henry Bennahmias, President & CEO, Audemars Piguet, The Americas. Ms Bapic will be based in the company’s Latin American corporate office located in Miami, FL.
Jasmine Bapic has acted as Audemars Piguet’s Bal Harbour Shops Boutique Manager since October 2008. Prior to her recent promotion and role as Bal Harbour Boutique Manager, Jasmine was the company’s East Coast Sales Representative for 1 ½ years, where she was an integral part of the high revenue growth achievements in the market, while maintaining and building upon the relationships the company has with its retailer network. Furthermore, Ms. Bapic helped to create many new organizational standards that are currently used on a daily basis within the company.
Ms. Bapic, no stranger to the watch industry, developed an interest in watchmaking through her family: her father is a second generation watchmaker and her mother’s family manufactured watch cases. Recent positions in the industry included Marketing Director at TechnoMarine as well as Sales and Marketing Director at the Wings of Time in Miami. Ms. Bapic earned a degree in fine arts at the Academie Maximilien de Meuron of Neuchatel, Switzerland.
