Luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet has been selected by the Tony Awards as presenting sponsor for its red carpet ceremony to be held at Radio City Music Hall on June 7, 2009. The prestigious Swiss brand will have eight aluminum clocks on display that will showcase specific decorations symbolizing the nominees for Best Play and Best Musical. At the conclusion of the Tony Awards, the clocks will have an exhibit period at the Audemars Piguet boutique in Manhattan before being auctioned to support the charitable works of The Actor's Fund, an organization dedicated to assisting individuals in the performance arts and entertainment fields.

Among the projects which Audemars Piguet has embraced in recent years include Arnold Schwarzenegger's After-School All-Stars Program, and the Quincy Jones Foundation, in addition to other partnerships with well-known personalities such as basketball great Shaquille O'Neal and pop star Jay-Z. Through the sale of special limited edition watches affiliated with these and other alliances, Audemars Piguet has raised millions of dollars for worthwhile charities, including projects for youth, breast cancer research, and the preservation of music and other priceless cultural activities.
