A complicated standout within Blancpain's recently introduced L-evolution watch collection is a limited edition model combining a flying one-minute tourbillon with a display for a second timezone. This timepiece presents a boldly contemporary new identity for Blancpain, while upholding the prestigious Swiss manufacture's established mastery in the field of exceptional haute horlogerie.

The Blancpain L-evolution Tourbillon GMT watch is available in 18-karat white or red gold. The imposing, finely polished 43.5mm case presents a novel design-inherent to all L-evolution models--whose notable features include rapidly detachable lugs that facilitate the exchange between straps and bracelet. The dials showcase a Cotes de Geneve pattern at center, and extremely large luminous Arabic numerals at 3 and 6 o'clock. An aperture at 12 o'clock proudly reveals the intricate tourbillon escapement with its fine mechanical structures and impeccable attention to finishing excellence. The date is indicated by a twin-armed pointer traversing a semi-circular scale with two staggered number sets.  A third red-tipped hand mounted at the center of the dial covers the 24-hour scale at the periphery of the dial, and indicates the second timezone.   

Animating the Blancpain L-evolution Tourbillon GMT watch is a new self-winding Calibre 5025 with an 8-day power reserve. A central winding mass efficiently converts motions of the wrist into energy for the spring barrels. The Calibre 5025 demonstrates the exceptional attention to finish inherent in all Blancpain movements; among the many refinements, the mainplate gleams with circular graining, and bridges display chamfered edges and Cotes de Geneve patterns.

The Blancpain L-evolution Tourbillon GMT watch will be produced in a limited edition of 99 pieces for both colors of 18-karat gold. Each timepiece features a curved sapphire crystal and an alligator strap fitted with a triple folding clasp.  Water resistance is rated for 100 meters.
