Since late 2004, the DS Podium line of timepieces has kindled the admiration of sport-watch enthusiasts the world over. This ongoing success has been largely due to an ideal blend between talent and performance, key qualities that make all the difference as much in watchmaking as on F1 tracks. This  pursuit of excellence has also been of course synonymous with progress and evolution. Indeed, the latest Certina timepiece wears a bold and exquisite design, with a slightly larger case and absolutely flawless aesthetics. On the wrist of today's active gentleman, the new DS Podium shows, down to the tiniest detail, total dynamism and elegance.

The most accurate time is ever the result of a perfect synchrony between true performance and long-term expertise. Faithful to its founding principles, Certina has produced since 1888 timepieces of tremendous reliability and precision. The new DS Podium stands out yet further from earlier editions through a bold, masculine design cast around a case with a superior outer diameter. This chronograph, in addition to extending the shining tradition of its forebears, pushes the envelope of exquisite sporty design yet one more notch.

This sport-classic chronograph is particularly noteworthy thanks to its advanced 12-hour function, while its unique class and timely elegance speak out through a superb interplay of black and natural steel surfaces. The dark finish of the tachymeter bezel and dial areas are elegantly set against the metallic gleam of the main case, indexes and main hour numerals, and its counters feature a finely machined concentric background bordered in silver, which strikes a perfect harmony with the dynamic red colour of the second, hour and tenths of a second indicators. Another creative note on this sports-oriented model is shown in the red push surface of the two-o'clock-position chrono button, while both the lower pushbutton and the protected crown are finished in black, the latter boasting the inscription DS at its centre, showing through in bright steel. In great taste and tremendous compositional unity, the steel bracelet version sports a central row of links in black PVD finish while the two outer rows contrast neatly in natural stainless steel.

The DS Podium Chronograph is also available with matching black dial and black pushbuttons, complemented by a brown leather strap for a more classical flavour. The watch is also available in other configurations, with a brown colour or silvery finish dial, a full steel bracelet or black leather strap, or a three-hand version.
