For the third year in a row, Girard-Perregaux was the presenting sponsor of the Bol d’Or Mirabaud. The 71st edition of this race, the biggest inland regatta in Europe, took place from June 12 to June 14 on the Leman lake where hundreds of boats gathered for the spectacle.

This sailing competition represents values dear to Girard-Perregaux: it combines human skills with the best technologies, bringing together emotion and a constant quest for performance.
Driven by this philosophy, the Manufacture has created the Laureato Bol d’Or Mirabaud chronograph specifically tailored to nautical racing. This sport titanium chronograph, with rubber on its bezel, crown and pushers, has been adapted for competition. Particularly, its flyback function and its central chronograph hand provide comfortable use and optimal readability.
It was after more than 19 hours of sailing on the immobile Leman Lake that the FONCIA team won the 71st edition of the Bol d'Or: Michel Desjoyaux and Alain Gautier crossed the line at 5:33 Sunday morning. At the end of the day, Stefano Macaluso presented the Girard-Perregaux award - the Laureato Bol d'Or Mirabaud– to the winners of one of the longest Bol d'Or in history.
