This timekeeper intimately ticking at the liking of its holder explores a new vision of timelessness through a watchcase for which all the precious raw materials, ranging from ceramic to solid pink or grey gold are utterly unalterable. From this subtle blending are drawn sketches of a new generation of watches whose passionate urban temperament gives the opportunity for each of us to express our own self without giving the lead to time to confine us.

At the sources of time with MAUBOUSSIN

Influenced by Pierre MAUBOUSSIN in the 30’s, the same one who through his impulse and passion for mechanics and aeronautics created the “Fouga Magistère” a famous recognition plane, the watch industry suddenly took its current status when in 1994 a new line of chronographs with automatic rewinding mechanisms appeared together with fancy and dressy designs for evening outings.

Soon, watchcase’s frames evolved with simpler and more graphical shapes that are rapidly set with precious stones, a MAUBOUSSIN trademark. In the same essence, a new brand named “Jonc” of Lady M. was conceived followed by the powerful square frames, characteristic of the Fouga’s collection in 2000. The Fouga’s concept with somehow telluric volumes has been revolutionizing the watch industry by introducing special materials such as the Yttrium. It has open-up the road to a new generation of watches. This avant-gardism approach has been the starting point of a more global thinking in dressing-up MAUBOUSSIN’s watches with an enduring material where time will have no impact on.

« Life for Ever » : time without an end

Ceramic has been an underlying material used in the early age of crafting jewelries. It was just a matter of time to see it reappearing today as a refined high tech substance revealing its strong temporal temperament drawn from MAUBOUSSIN’s watch conception.

Born from fire, this amazingly dense material, virtually as hard as diamond, possesses, on its well-polished surface, the distinctiveness of memorizing the print left by the ones who have touched it. Inalterable but alive, with a sensual feel, a black luster similar to onyx, the ceramic is primarily used for shaping the heart of the watchcase. Blended with precious metal, whether astutely pink or intensively white gold for the glass and watchcase, all these constituents are meticulously sealed together. A priceless handcraft process, which enables the Swiss-made mechanical chronograph movement, with automatic rewinding, to resist harsh conditions such as humidity and/or dust. MAUBOUSSIN believes that outstanding and exclusive workmanship should be highlighted. Therefore, it has chosen to expose part of the moving pieces within a see-through glass cut sapphire bottom case.

Adapted to all trendy fashions whether formal, informal or leisure, this fine time jewel is warranted 24 months and guaranteed waterproof up to 160 feet below see level. It is currently proposed with a supple wrist bracelet made in ceramic, identical to the watchcase. With a safety inner lock on the watchband, this exclusive chronograph so passionately MAUBOUSSIN in its features, discloses the never-ending charm of a rational jewelry  with the aim to indicate time without imprisoning it.

« Life for Ever » : a  timeless authenticity

Nothing best than a managed authenticity to ensure that time will not take the lead. To achieve this challenging task, a silvered dial with an inspired “fifties” design is enthused by the golden ages of the wrist chronographs. With its two sub-meter dials, proposed tone on tone or on black, the time machine posts the date in a tiny window at 6 o’clock within a symmetric layout that always pays-out. This set-up is ideal for clear read-out both days and nights as the dial set-up as well as the time needles “Glaive” are powdered with a luminescence substance to shine in the dark. Efficient, the chronograph possesses triangular solid gold side push buttons dressed-up with ceramic. They steer the start and stop functions as well as rewinding back to zero the small and elegant chrono needle, which has a triangular counter weight, the MAUBOUSSIN trademark, as well as a smaller one in the left meter dial dedicated to count the time elapsed up to 30 minutes. And since the most efficient markings are usually sober, the tip of the fast needle running one round per minute posts, in its devoted dial, temporal mark-up with the preciseness of up to 1/15th of a second.
