Longines’ Ambassador of Elegance Kate Winslet has presented the new additions to the Longines DolceVita collection along with the Bollywood icon Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the Asian filmstar Chi Ling Lin. Combining steel with different colours of gold, these latest creations lend a new image to the paragon of watchmaking elegance launched in 1997 that has proven highly popular ever since. The Swiss watchmaker’s three star ambassadors were wearing the new Longines DolceVita models during a gala evening at the Villa Miani high above the Eternal City, where a film featuring the three famous faces was shown for the first time.

The Longines DolceVita collection embodies the brand’s vision of contemporary elegance. Launched in 1997, this collection has been extremely successful throughout the world, models being worn by women who appreciate refined elegance with timeless style. The collection is characterised by the harmonious rectangular shape of the case, which can easily be used as a basis for a variety of versions.

Now Longines has created a new image for this collection of contemporary elegance by using different colours of gold to enhance the brilliance of the steel parts. With a choice of versions guaranteed to please all tastes, this new creation is available in three sizes, with a choice of dials, in steel and yellow gold or steel and rose gold, some versions set with diamonds. 

Longines revealed these new additions to its collection at the gala dinner in Rome – the heart of the Italian “dolce vita”. With this new variation that combines steel with yellow gold and steel with rose gold, Longines’ famous watchmaking elegance has gained a new dimension.

Longines has given a fresh new look to its exemplary series of contemporary, elegant designs within the Longines DolceVita collection, by using different colours of gold in order to enhance the brilliance of the stainless steel with which they are combined. This quartz watch (calibre L178.2) in steel and rose gold is set with 32 diamonds (0.269 carat, Top Wesselton VVS) whose sparkle emphasises the rectangular form and harmonious proportions of the case. The white dial features ten indices and an Arabic numeral 12 and has rose hands to indicate the hours and minutes, as well as a small seconds at 6 o’clock. This elegant, contemporary model is mounted on a steel and rose gold bracelet. Water-resistant to 3 bar (30 metres).

The Longines DolceVita collection embodies the Longines vision of contemporary elegance. This quartz watch (calibre L176.2) in steel and yellow gold is set with 32 diamonds (0.384 carat, Top Wesselton VVS) whose sparkle emphasises the rectangular form and harmonious proportions of the case. The silvered “flinqué” dial features blue Roman numerals and hands that indicate the hours and minutes, as well as a small seconds at 6 o’clock. The watch is beautifully combined with a steel and yellow gold bracelet to match the case. Water-resistant to 3 bar (30 metres).
